Was Jesus ever on earth, or whether it was in fact a Roman Caesar, Augustus, who founded the belief system is an excellent question. Call it excellent writing with a message that surpasses the dispute as to who claimed what first, and whether it is of any moment as to who can claim the foundation of the Christianity. The "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" message should be easy to hear regardless of the source-or, are we so caught in the need to worship a being, that we cannot see the forest for the tree?Ĭall this novel controversial. I am able to see past the worship of a person, living God or otherwise, and find that the message is what is important. However, my belief system has grown from that which was professed as the gospel during my early years. Note that I was raised a Christian, in a Southern Baptist church, and thus, what has been written would probably be called blasphemy. I have read about the many stories of Messiah's, and of virgin births, in other cultures, many preceding the story of Jesus.
